Rennes Group
ASTOUR
Since the dawn of time farmers and the rural community met to celebrate events by dancing. They danced at f
amily parties such as weddings, at the harvest time and to compact the soil at planting time. For the past 50 years the cultural associations including the Celitc Circle of Rennes provided workshops and training courses to preserve these traditions. Breton Dance continues to evolve under the influence of new music which is most definately a living tradition.
