Owenabue Valley Traditional Group

This Carrigaline based performing group of musicians, singers, dancers & story tellers have been on the go since 1995, with some members together longer. They are helping to keep the Irish Traditions alive by passing on the tunes, songs, dances & stories to the next generation through performances at home & abroad.

Up to 3 generations perform together at private parties, weddings, corporate events, local & international festivals. The unique atomsphere that they bring with them allows for all ages, creeds & nationality with very different dancing ability to take to the floor together to enjoy the ceol and the craic

KIELY-WALSH ACADEMY OF IRISH DANCING

(Junior Branch of Cork Irish Dance Co.)

The Kiely Walsh Academy of Irish Dancing based in Carrigaline, Douglas and surrounding areas are long regarded as one of the leading Irish dancing Academies in the World. All Ireland and World Champion dancers, they have won all the major tiles over the years. The group is in huge demand performing in many events throughout Ireland and have travelled around the world promoting Irish dancing at festivals and fesses.

Directors Miah & Maria Kiely-Walsh who are both teachers and adjudicators are highly recognised world wide for their professional approach and their high standards and for their training ability in both step dancing, ceili dancing and performance dancing. They are in huge demand all over the world and have given workshops in as far as South Africa tutoring teachers and dancers and guiding them through their love of the art form.

In 2004 they launched The Cork Irish Dance Co, a group of senior dancers who are in high demand performing at corporate events, conferences and weddings all over Cork city & county.
