Greek, Turkish and Belgian International Folk Dance groups have accepted the invitation to come to DamhsaFest 2010 this July. Negotiations are taking place with a group form Brittany also. DamhsaFest 2010 takes place from Wednesday 21st July to Sunday 26th July. The visiting colourful dancers will perform in Cork City Centre and a number of county towns including Carrigaline. Funding a major festival like DamhsaFest proves difficult as most of the performances are in the open air and free to the public. The organizers are seeking an overall sponsor or sponsors for segments of the festival. A Family Table Quiz is being run in Douglas GAA Hall on Sunday April 11th at 2.00pm. Everyone welcome. Plans for DamhsaFest 2010 are progressing smoothly with the dates set for the annual Folk Dance Festival from Wednesday 21st July to Sunday 25th July. The organizing committee is inundated with requests from Folk Dance groups from all over the world seeking invitations to come to Cork to participate in DamhsaFest 2010.
