The new Mayor of Cork County, Mayor Noel O’Connor will officially open Damhsafest 2013 this Friday 28th June in the Carrigaline GAA Pavilion at 7.30 pm. It’s all systems go for this years Damhsafest the Cork International Folk Dance Festival which starts on Friday 28th June. Groups participating include Folk Dancers from Kazakhstan, Sicily, Togo, the Philippines, The Kiely Walsh Irish Dancers, the Owenabue Valley Traditional Group and the Pipe Band.Read More
Two Damhsafest concerts will be held in Carrigaline, County Cork, on Tuesday 2nd July 2103 and Wednesday 3rd July 2013 in St Mary’s School Hall, Waterpark Estate, Church Road, Carrigaline, County Cork on the south coast of Ireland.
On stage will be colourful folk dance groups from Kazakhstan, Sicily, Togo, Philippines and the Carrigaline Pipe Band also the World Champion Kiely Walsh Irish dancers and the Owenabue Valley Traditional Group.
Admission only €10 and tickets, which will be limited, will be on sale from next week. The International Folk Dancers will give free performances in a number of locations from Friday 30th June to Thursday July 4th.
